Sometimes ago, earlier this year Infinix mobility release the Infinix Note 7 and Note 7 lite. Note 7 was the first Infinix smartphone to come with the powerful MediaTek Helio G70 processor and with a very iconic design. Now, a better and advanced model of the Note series, Infinix Note 8 is due to be released. It ships with a more powerful MediaTek Helio G80.
The new Infinix Note 8 comes with a number of big changes to the Note 7 predecessor, a quick one to note been the design. As opposed to the Note 7 circular arrangement of the rear camera, the Note 8 adopts the rectangular layout.
The upgrade from Helio G70 to the G80 processor also makes Note 8 superior. Infinix Note 8 also adopts the Type-C USB port which allows for fast charging of up to 18W, the first of its kind for Infinix Smartphones. Like the Note 7, Infinix Note 8 comes in two variants Infinix Note 8 and Note 8i.
Infinix Note 8 Review
Hardware
Inifinix Note 8 comes with a very powerful Mediatek Helio G80 Octa-core (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) processor with Mali-G52 graphics processor. Infinix Note 8 comes with an enormous 128G internal memory with 6 Gigabyte of RAM with a dedicated slot to extend the storage with a microSDXC card. Like the Note 7, the fingerprint is side-mounted. One other peculiar thing I found interesting in Note 8 however is that it comes with Type-C USB, this definitely is a great improvement.
Design and Display
Note 8 has a very sleek body design with a dimension of 175.3 mm height x 78.8mm width x 9 mm thickness, less than 1mm thicker than the Note 7. The display is made of an IPS LCD of 6.96 inches protected by a corning gorilla glass with a resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels.
Camera
Infinix Note 8 got an upgrade in the camera department as well, stepping up from the 48MP of Note 7 to a Quad 64 MP(wide), 2 MP(macro), 2 MP (depth), and 2 MP camera arrangement. It has a dual 16 MP and 2MP front camera for your selfie.
Battery
Note 8 comes with an enormous 5200mAh Li-Po Non-removable Battery with fast charging of up to 18w
