Succeeding the Infinix Hot 8 is the new Infinix Hot 9 with an upgrade in the processor stepping it up to Helio A25 from the Helio A22 in Hot 8. There are a lot of features however on Hot 9 that remain the same with Hot 8. While the camera on both are 13MP, the Hot 9 has a little upgrade coming with a Quad-camera as against the triple-camera in the Hot 8 and a 16MP camera variant.
Infinix Hot 9 also has more variants than its predecessor, coming with 5 difference variants, 32GB 2GB RAM, 32GB 3GB RAM, 64GB 3GB RAM, 64GB 4GB RAM, and 128GB 4GB RAM. The battery remains 5000mAh long-lasting battery and still without fast charging unlike the Infinix Note 7 and Note 7 Lite.
Infinix Hot 9 Review
Hardware
It comes with an Helio A25 Octa-core (4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.5 GHz Cortex-A53) processor with PowerVR GE8320 graphics processor. This is a big upgrade on the quad-core on the Hot 8. Unlike the Helio G70 on Note 7 and Note 7 Lite, this processor is far lesser in processing speed. However, with up to 128GB 4GB RAM, you still get enough power and storage for your needs.
Display and Design
Infinix Hot 9 abandons the water drop display design in the Hot 8 for Infinity-O display design, resembling the Note 7 in front appearance. Weighing just 185g and 8.8 mm thick with a horizontal quad-camera at the rear, it quickly appears like the Note 7 Lite, if not for the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner on Hot 9. The display is an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 720 x 1600 pixels.
Camera
At the rear, Infinix Hot 9 boasts of 16MP/13MP, 2MP, 2MP, and a QVGA quad-camera with triple LED flash while the selfie camera is an 8MP punch-hole shooter like its predecessor.
