Tecno Phantom X – Full specifications, Review and Price

The Tecno Phantom series was launched on 10th July 2019 with the model ‘Tecno Phantom 9. Ever since Transsion, the make of Tecno has designated this device as their flagship. The new Phantom X has been referred to as “top-of-the-line as far as Tecno’s portfolio is concerned” by GSMarena.

The Phantom X ships with some features that have never been used on previous Tecno Phones like its Super AMOLED display and 50 MP triple camera with 4k video capability. Other features on the Phantom X are mostly the same as that of the recently released Tecno Camon 17 Pro. This makes the Phantom X a slight upgrade of Camon 17 Pro

Hardware

Like the Camon 17 Pro, Tecno Phantom X comes with an 8 core Mediatek Helio G95 (12 nm) processor with HyperEngine game optimization. And Mali-G76  for its graphics. The memory is a giant 256GB 8GB RAM expandable with a microSD card slot.

Design and Display

Here is where the Phantom X stands out from all other Tecno Devices. Tecno really put a lot into achieving a very good design and premium display quality for this phone. The most notable design feature on the phone is the back which is probably made of Gorilla Glass 5, something very rare in Tecno Phones. The phone is 8.7mm thick and weighs only 201g.

The display made of Super AMOLED at a 90Hz refresh rate measures 6.7 inches and a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels is protected by a curved Gorilla Glass 5.

Camera

The camera is indeed one of the biggest attractions to this phone. The front-facing main camera comes at 50MP, one of the biggest in the market at the moment. This main shooter is joined by a 13MP telephoto camera which offers 2x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide that allows a wide angle of 120degree.
