Infinix S5 Lite is a stripped-down version of the bigger S5. The S5 lite looks almost exactly as the S5 except for the triple camera arrangement as opposed to the S5 Quad-Camera. They are of great design with an in-display camera (punch hole or Infinity-O camera) design like the Tecno Camon 12 Air. While it is a stripped-down version, much of the difference are not major. Differences that can be quickly noticed are in the size of the camera and the fact that the S5 lite has no 6GB/128GB variant.
Infinix S5: Review
Hardware
Like its senior, Infinix S5 Lite comes with a Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 chipset with an Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 Processor. As with its predecessors, the Graphic processor is powered by PowerVR GE8320 650MHz. It also comes in two variants, a 4GB of RAM + 64GB ROM storage which can be extended up to 256GB through a dedicated microSD slot and a 3GB of RAM + 32 GB ROM variant.
Battery
Infinix has done a very great job here, making sure that either you buy the S5 or S5 Lite, you get to enjoy the same Battery power. Infinix S5 lite also comes with a non-removable 4000mAh Li-Po battery supported by AI power loss reduction to extend the battery life, to ensure an extended photo capturing and entertainment experience. It, however, does not have fast charge technology.
Design and Display
The design follows exactly that of S5, Infinity-O display, 6.6 inches wide display with an approximately 90.5% screen-to-body ratio and a quad-camera arrangement at the back. Although the fourth camera hole in S5 Lite is a design without a camera. This phone together with its senior is therefore unarguably one of the most beautiful Infinix phones in recent times. The display specification was also maintained, a Full High Definition screen resolution 720 x 1600 pixels with approximately 270-pixel per inch (PPI). It weighs just 178g, a gram less than Infinix Hot 8, and thinner with 7.9mm body thickness.
Camera
Here is where the major difference in S5 and S5 Lite lies. While it also has multiple cameras, it is reduced to three, a triple-camera of 16 MP, 2 MP and a QVGA for AI at the back, supported by a smart quad-LED flash. The front camera was also reduced to 16MP HDR+ Low-light Selfie.
