Two years ago google unveiled next-generation language and conversation capabilities powered by our Language Model for Dialogue Applications (or LaMDA for short). Ever since google has been working on an experimental conversational AI service, powered by LaMDA, this is called Bard AI.
Today, Google announced the launch of Bard, an experimental conversational AI service that uses Language Model for Dialogue Applications (LaMDA). This means google is opening Bard AI up to trusted testers ahead of making it more widely available to the public in the coming weeks.
Bard AI: A Viable ChapGPT competitor
After OpenAI’s long-form question-answering AI, ChatGPT, which conversely responds to complicated inquiries, was released, this announcement has been eagerly awaited. In order to assist in providing answers to queries, Google has described Bard as a “conversational AI service” that blends the breadth of the world’s knowledge with the strength, intelligence, and creativity of its massive language models. Bard employs web resources, much like ChapGPT, to produce new, superior solutions. However you will remember that ChatGPT is unable to provide any information on events that occurred after 2021, although Bard can give information on recent occurrences.
Bard AI was described by google as a tool that “seeks to combine the breadth of the world’s knowledge with the power, intelligence and creativity of our large language models. It draws on information from the web to provide fresh, high-quality responses. Bard can be an outlet for creativity, and a launchpad for curiosity, helping you to explain new discoveries from NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope to a 9-year-old, or learn more about the best strikers in football right now, and then get drills to build your skills.”
Bard AI; the potentials and the possibilities
One of the most interesting possibilities is how AI may enhance human comprehension of information and more effectively transform it into valuable knowledge, making it simpler for people to find what they’re searching for and complete tasks.
When there is no one correct answer to a subject, AI can be useful in synthesizing findings. Soon, AI-powered Search capabilities will be available that condense complicated data and different viewpoints into digestible formats so you can easily grasp the big picture and learn more from the web.
These are possibilities Bard AI promises and it is expected to be rolled out soon on google searches Google will first roll out the lightweight model version of LaMDA, which consumes far less computer resources, to enable Bard to grow to more customers and receive more feedback.
Bard is now only accessible to selected testers ahead of its anticipated broad rollout in the coming weeks. Over the upcoming months, Google plans to make additional AI tools available and give access to independent developers, innovators, and companies.
