Huawei is showing that regardless of the US ban and many obstacles that come, they can still make very good and popular mobile phones. Deviating from the general norms of producing a successor to a phone model, Huawei still chose to name its new phone Huawei P30 lite New Edition, building on the popular Huawei P30 lite of 2019.
Huawei P30 lite New Edition is in a class of its own and very unique. This is because of the gigantic memory size of this mid-ranged device, 256 GB of fast UFS 2.1 storage. Very scarce in phones of this level.
Huawei P30 lite New Edition: Review
Hardware
The major difference between the Huawei P30 lite New Edition and the 2019 Huawei P30 lite is in the Memory. While the 2019 Huawei P30 lite comes with a 128GB 4GB RAM, 128GB 6GB RAM, and 128GB 8GB RAM memory configuration using the embedded Multimedia Card technology (eMMC 5.1), the Huawei P30 lite New Edition ships with an impressive 256GB 6GB RAM memory configuration integrating a high-performance Universal Flash Storage technology (UFS 2.1).
The phone, like its earlier version, uses an Octa-core (Quad 2.2 GHz Cortex-A73 & Quad 1.7 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU on a Hisilicon Kirin 710 (12 nm) chipset and Mali-G51 MP4 for its Graphic Processor.
Design and Display
Huawei P30 lite New Edition comes in a similar design with the 2019 Huawei P30 lite but weighs 3g lesser at approximately 153g. Another little difference is the display, the New Edition uses an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, as opposed to the LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen of the Huawei P30 Lite. They both come with a Resolution of 1080 x 2312 pixels.
Camera
The camera is a great point of attraction for the two Huawei P30 Lite. They come with a triple camera setup of 48 MP (wide), 8 MP (ultrawide), and 2 MP depth sensor at the rear and a 32 MP selfie camera.
